By using, viewing, transmitting, caching, storing or otherwise utilizing Faro Airport Transfers® website, the services or functions offered in or by this website and/or the contents of the website in any way, you have agreed to each and all of the terms and conditions set forth below. These terms DO NOT apply to other online portals intended for use by our suppliers or our customers, links to which may be found on our Site and which are subject to separate terms of use. If you do not accept these terms then you must cease to use this website immediately.

The following terms and conditions apply in relation to contracts arranged by Gator Travel, Unip. Lda as an agent and supplier, for transfers between the departure points and destinations specified in the written confirmation issued by Faro Airport Transfers®, which is the registered trade mark of Gator Travel, Unip. Lda.

Gator Travel, Unip. Lda is a limited company registered in Portugal, whose registered office address is Rua Prof. Dr. Egas Moniz 84-A, 8005-277 FARO, Algarve – Portugal. Its National Tourism Authority registration number is RNAVT Nº 4816 and its fiscal number (VAT No) is PT508809061.

Terms of Service Notice

Transfer Service

All transfer services provided by Faro Airport Transfers® are direct and private (door-to-door).

Airport Transfers: It is a transportation service to or from Faro International Airport (FAO). Clients may book a one-way transfer, either from Faro airport to the accommodation or from the accommodation to the airport, or a return transfer (both ways).

Golf Transfers: It is a transportation service from any hotel, resort or private residence in the Algarve to the golf courses. Clients may book a one-way transfer, either to the golf course or from the golf course, or a return transfer (both ways).

Amusement Park Transfers: It is a transportation service from any hotel, resort or private residence in the Algarve to the amusement parks (theme parks) or to other leisure and recreation activities. Clients may book a one-way transfer, either to the Theme Park or from the Theme Park, or a return transfer (both ways).

Hotel Transfers: It is a transportation service between hotels, resorts or private residences in the Algarve. Clients may book a one-way transfer, or a return transfer (both ways).

Upon booking any of our services, you accept the Temrs of Service and the website Terms of use, as descibed in this page.

Trip Distance and Time

The distance and average trip time provided are for planning purposes only. Traffic, weather, unexpected road closures or other events may cause conditions to differ from the information published, and you should plan your trip accordingly.

Airport pickup

The time to fill in the booking form is the arrival flight time. The arrival flight number will be asked during the booking process.

We monitor the arrival flight and we do not dispatch a driver until we have a confirmed landing / arrival time as we check your flight number with the airport to ensure that it is running to schedule.

We will not accept responsibility where incorrect flight number has been provided, by the client.

When a passenger has booked an airport pickup, the driver will wait up to one hour from the time the flight landed. If the passenger doesn't meet the driver within this time frame or does not contact us to let us know their current status, it is considered to be a No-Show.

If your flight is diverted, we recommend the client to contact our 24 hours helpline (24/7 Helpdesk) as soon as possible as we may be able to assist the client in finding alternative transfer arrangements. Please note that we will not be liable to pay for such alternative arrangements: Subject to their terms and conditions, it is the responsibility of the airline to transport the client to the original destination airport.

Other Pickup Locations

Clients are asked to observe punctuality during pick up times. Faro Airport Transfers will not be liable where vehicles have to proceed without passengers who have failed to meet the vehicle at the required time agreed between the client and our company or agent. It will be considered as No Show.

Booking Confirmations

Once the reservation has been accepted a booking confirmation will be e-mailed to the client including the Voucher, which holds the complete details of your service. This voucher will include all the necessary information you will need, in order to have your service delivered, such as the meeting time and meeting point details, as well as our contact information.

The Lead Party is the person acting on behalf of the passengers, whose name appear on the booking, voucher and receipt, is the person responsible for the booking and payment. The Lead Party must be at least 18 years of age.

We ask our clients to double-check their email address carefully when they write it at our online booking tool and make sure to enter the correct information, during all steps of the booking process and verify them, before proceeding to the booking submission. We will not accept responsibility where incorrect or insufficient information has been provided, by the client.

Transfer details, including instructions on meeting the driver, may be provided in writing, in form of a booking confirmation when the booking is made. You may use the "Comments" field of the booking form, in order to provide such information.

A Booking ID (token) will be issued and clearly stated on the final stage of the booking process, on the voucher and on the confirmation email. This will be the passkey (token) to manage the booking.

We encourage our clients to write down the Booking ID (token), it is helpful to manage and identify the booking.

Booking Cancellations or Amendments

Faro Airport Transfers® don't charge a cancellation or change fee.

Cancellations must be actioned online on the website or via email. This is free of any administration charge. The time limit this action can be performed is four (4) hours prior to the transfer service.

For online bookings clients must click on “My Booking” enter the Booking ID (token) on the text box (or use the QR code) to view, download, print, modify or cancel a booking.

In emergency cases, clients should use the telephone number stated at the confirmation email, your voucher and our website: The 24/7 Hespdesk.

Prices and Payment

Prices are quoted in the currency you choose. The price base is in Euro and converted to the selected currency at the time of the transaction based on the up-to-date currency exchange rate.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time before you book, but completed bookings are exempt from any price changes.

We guarantee that once the client have made your booking we will not increase the price of the transfer: Once the client have agreed a price and made the booking this is the price to pay.

Payment is required at the time of booking unless agreed otherwise by both parties.

Departure transfers or any transfer service which it's pick up location is not Faro Airport prepayment is mandatory. The payment can be made on the time of the booking, before arrival or to the driver upon arrival (on the first transfer).

Prices shown on Faro Airport Transfers® website are quoted per vehicle and not per person.

Our online booking tool provides an automatic fare quote related with the “From” / ”To” locations entered by the client.

A one-way price will include a single journey, either from the airport to an accommodation or from an accommodation to the airport.

A return transfer includes both the arrival and departure transfer, from the airport to accommodation upon arrival and from the accommodation to the airport on departure.

The price presented includes:

  • All tax.
  • Private and direct door-to-door transfer.
  • The transport of your luggage and personal items (see Luggage Policy).
  • Safety car seats, baby seats or booster cushions, when applicable.
  • Highway toll fees when applicable.
  • No restrictions on using the highway A22 (on Premium services).
  • Airport Meet and Greet Service (on Premium services).
  • Chilled bottled water for the journey (on Premium services).
  • Pick up time confirmation by SMS (on Premium services).
  • Free website on board (guaranteed on Premium Services).
Refunds

Transfer refunds are submitted to the bank within one (1) business day after reviewed and approved by our department.

Faro Airport Transfers® is unable to refund payment if cancelled with less than four hours notice prior to pick up time or in the event of a “no-show”.

Vehicles

The lead passenger shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the vehicle during the journey.

Eating, drinking or smoking in the cars are not permitted. The exception to our “no eating or drinking” policy applies to water only.

Passengers are not permitted, by law, to consume alcoholic beverages in public transportation vehicles.

All children travelling during the journey should be restrained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight and height. Suitable child seats should wherever possible be supplied by our company and fitted by the child’s parents helped by the driver.

All vehicles are fully insured and for passenger and third party claims, as required by law.

Faro Airport Transfers® reserves the right (and delegates to its Agents and drivers the right) to refuse to carry any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/ or whose behaviour is consider to pose a threat to the driver, the vehicle and/ or other passengers or road users.

NO SMOKING Policy

Smoking is not allowed on any of our vehicles.

Luggage Policy

It's included in the price, for each passenger, one checked luggage piece (such as standard suitcase or golf bag) and two carry-on items (such as purses, laptop cases, briefcases, small suitcases, and backpacks).

Extra luggage like a surfboard, a pet crate, a bike bag or other large items may be subject to extra fees depending on the vehicle luggage capacity.

Faro Airport Transfers® nor any of its contracted or sub-contracted drivers will accept responsibility for loss or damage to luggage or other personal items. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage is loaded/unloaded at all times.

Missed Flights

In the event of a missed flight, it is passenger’s liability to inform Faro Airport Transfers® immediately, so that we could notify the driver not to enter the airport for the pick up. Pre-paid bookings will be refunded, however if the passenger wises to take a later flight we will provide the service at no extra cost.

No-Show

A “No-show” is defined as follows: When a person books a transfer service with Faro Airport Transfers® and fails to meet the driver at the pickup time, it is considered a “no-show”. This is the case whether the passenger was to be picked up from the airport, a hotel, a resort or other private address.

Wrong date or wrong time bookings are considered to be “no-show”.

Pre-paid booking are non-refundable in case of “no-show”.

Routes

Driver will take a route to a destination by considering the following facts: Traffic, time, road closures, diversions, etc.

Prices are quoted to drive through a most economical route, except “Premium Transfers” which have no restrictions on using paid highways.

Liability

Faro Airport Transfers® will endeavour to carry the Passenger(s) with the minimum of discomfort and inconvenience to their destination at the time shown on their Transport Voucher, however Faro Airport Transfers® will not incur in any liability whatsoever if circumstances beyond its control prevent the achievement of this responsibility.

The following are examples of circumstances that are not within our control (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Accidents causing delays to the vehicle.
  • Restricted vehicular access.
  • Exceptional or severe weather conditions.
  • Compliance with requests of the police or government officials.
  • Vandalism and / or terrorism.
  • Unforeseen traffic delays.
  • Industrial action by third parties.
  • Problems caused by other clients.
  • Other circumstances affecting passenger safety.

Faro Airport Transfers® will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.

Client shall indemnify Faro Airport Transfers® against all losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in the party.

We accept no liability for any illness, injury, death or loss of any kind. This includes loss, damage or theft of any luggage or personal belonging the client or client’s party may be carrying. Any claim for loss, injury, illness or death should be pursued with client insurance company directly or may be covered under the terms of your insurance.

We only accept liability to the client for claims which arise solely as a result of our own negligence.

Faro Airport Transfers® does not accept any responsibility in any way for missed flights for whatever reason not within our control i.e. traffic delays, accidents, breakdowns, severe weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances.

Changes to these Terms

Due to its policy of updating and improving the website, Faro Airport Transfers® may wish to change these Terms (including those relating to your use of the Content). If the need arises, we may suspend access to our website, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our Site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material. When terms are changed, Faro Airport Transfers® will notify you by indicating on this page when they were last modified. If you use the website after Faro Airport Transfers® has published and notified you of the changes, you agree to be bound by those changes. If you do not agree to be bound by those changes, you should not use the website.

Law and Jurisdiction

Nothing can affect the consumer’s statutory rights. Portuguese Law will govern these conditions in all respects.

In case of dispute the client may apply to an alternative resolution entity for consumer disputes:
